Launch details for .ing and .meme

Google Registry will be launching two exciting new top-level domains in this fall:

• .ing is a domain that enables new homes on the internet in a single word. With .ing, people, businesses, and brands can express themselves in a whole new way. Whether it’s design.ing or writ.ing, ink.ing or row.ing, .ing is ready for action, whatever it is you’re do.ing.
• .meme is for the culture. Funny, relatable, and shareable, memes drive the internet today.

Here are the important dates to be aware of for .ing:

• September 20, 2023 - October 24, 2023: Sunrise, where trademark holders who have submitted their trademark to the Trademark Clearinghouse can register domains on the new TLDs.
• October 31, 2023 - December 5, 2023: Early Access Period (EAP), where anyone can register available domains in the new TLDs for an extra fee, which decreases leading up to General Availability.
• December 5, 2023 onwards: General Availability, where anyone can register available domains without paying an EAP fee.

Here are the important dates to be aware of for .meme:

• September 20, 2023 - October 24, 2023: Sunrise, where trademark holders who have submitted their trademark to the Trademark Clearinghouse can register domains on the new TLDs.
• October 31, 2023 - November 28, 2023: Limited Registration Period where only content creation platforms specializing in the creation and distribution of internet memes may apply for .meme domain names.
• November 28 2023 - December 5, 2023: Early Access Period (EAP), where anyone can register available domains in the new TLDs for an extra fee, which decreases leading up to General Availability.
• December 5, 2023 onwards: General Availability, where anyone can register available domains without paying an EAP fee.

All phases begin and end at 16:00 UTC. For both .ing and .meme, there will be a 7 day quiet period between Sunrise and LRP.

Please note that a claims period will run indefinitely, during which trademark owners will receive notification when their marks are registered as domains.
